Bring your land to life

Our process

Mulching lays a strong foundation for seeding and prairie cultivation. Thinning the canopy allows for both sunlight and water to reach soil previously blocked by thick brush.

Additionally, the layer of cedar mulch provides the perfect base for soil enrichment and a substrate for native grass and flower seeds. We’ll seed the freshly mulched ground with a proprietary blend of grasses, flowers, and natural fertilizers backed by research from leading regional botanists.

Functionality

We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and we should make the most of the opportunity. Restoring your land to native savannah isn’t just a gift to wildlife, its an investment into the long-term health and functionality of your property.

You’ll be able to enjoy a landscape full of life and naturally resistant to the increasingly common environmental pressures we are experiencing, like wildfires, floods, drought, and erosion.

Prairie restoration will preserve the value and functionality of your land for generations to come

Stewardship

Our grandparents and their grandparents before them knew our lives depended on being steadfast protectors of the places we live.

The food we eat, the water we drink, and the spaces our children play are precious, and we need to fight to preserve and restore these natural resources.

Prairie restoration is one of the most effective weapons in our arsenal in the fight against environmental degradation. Grasses slow the flow of water, reducing soil erosion and recharging the aquifers we depend on for drinking water.

Value

Property in the Hill Country is incredibly valuable, with land prices ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 per acre. An asset this valuable should be utilized and enjoyed to the greatest extent possible.

Weather you are planning to sell your property soon or you expect to stay for decades to come, there are few investments that offer the benefits, financial and otherwise, of land clearing and prairie restoration.

Pricing guidance

Just like land clearing, each job will be unique so it’s impossible to provide a firm estimate without first assessing the property.

That being said, we can often offer seeding at a much lower price than our competitors due to economies of scale with our mulching process. We use a proprietary seeding mix backed by decades of ecological research designed to survive and thrive in harsh Central Texas weather.

Most projects will cost $2,500 to $4,500 per acre to seed. Prices depend on the desired density of seeding and existing soil conditions.
